Residential retreats across the UK, ideal for sewers from beginner up to advanced intermediate level
Have you ever wanted to have a go at a particular pattern, but been put off by a challenging element you’re not confident with?
Whether you’re thwarted by invisible zips or fitting sleeves, the purpose of these courses is to give each attendee an opportunity to learn skills that they personally find difficult, and have a go at some more adventurous sewing with the support of a skilled tutor.
A maximum group of 12 with 2 tutors allows plenty of one-to-one learning time during our weekend getaway, with comfy beds and delicious food and drink to keep us well oiled! Not only that, but you’ll be in the company of fellow sewing enthusiasts over a weekend dedicated to all things sewing, dressmaking and upcycling clothing.

Join us at beautiful Lakeview Manor for a weekend of all things sewing.
In our own dedicated sewing space, our tutors Jay and Scarlett will guide you through making your own choice of garment with as much or as little help as you need, as well as leading you in workshops on taking accurate measurements, grading patterns, plus upcycling clothing and fabrics. You'll have the opportunity to learn some additional skills too, such as invisible mending, applique and embroidery to really make your finished garments your own.
Coupled with comfortable accommodation and delicious food and drink, this is an ideal getaway for the enthusiastic sewer.

The stunning Gatton Manor Hotel is our Surrey retreat home for the weekend.
Set in 200 acres of private land in the heart of the Surrey Hills, join us for a relaxing break where you'll be able to immerse yourself in all things sewing.
Whether you're new to sewing garments or are an experienced dressmaker, our tutors are on hand to teach you tips and tricks to improve your sewing knowledge and experience. We'll also have a day focused on re-purposing old clothes and fabrics, with some useful workshops on fabric matching, altering clothing, and mending.
Our retreats always feature cozy, comfortable accommodation and excellent food and drink; everything you need for a relaxing weekend immersed in your favourite hobby.
